光良加盟黎明旗下 A MUSIC，在2007年與衛蘭合唱一首廣東歌曲「童夢」旋即獲得新城勁爆合唱歌曲獎；從小與父母說廣東話，卻沒獨唱過廣東歌的光良，今年將推出個人首唱粵語歌曲「店小二」、「清水」。「店小二」六月初已在香港首播出街，第一週即獲得香港下載付費網站第一名的好成績。第二首「清水」也在七月中與大家見面，深受好評！

愛情裡的店小二，期許清水般的純潔愛情
這兩首歌曲有各自的甜蜜與所要敘述的故事。「店小二」這首歌曲講的是在咖啡店裡發生的愛情故事，光良說：「男主角經營這家店就像是在經營自己的愛情，他希望有一天能夠為自己的店找到一位女主人，並且小心地經營這家店與他們的愛。」光良坦言，這首歌曲雖然講的是很浪漫的故事，但自己唱起來卻有那麼一點酸與感傷。他說到：「愛情本來就是有酸又有甜吧！甜蜜裡又有點酸澀，感情就是這樣吧！」
而「清水」則是一首旋律較為輕快和易記的歌曲，形容愛情如同清水般的純淨與無雜質，愛情可以是很簡單的，而簡單就是完美了。光良認為：「水是生活中最基本的東西，它是透明的、沒有什麼味道，但我們每一個人卻都需要水這樣一個簡單的東西，就像我們需要最簡單的愛一樣。所以「清水」這首歌形容愛情像水一般的細水長流，淡淡地甜蜜，例如像是過馬路一定要牽著對方的手這樣簡單的事情，對愛情的意義卻是很大的。」

配唱邊練粵語 字字斟酌 就怕唱錯意
這次到了香港錄新歌，公司特別找來與許多大牌合作過的製作人兼錄音師陳臺證，合作過的歌手有黎明、陳奕迅、楊千樺和衛蘭等人…。過程中，製作人為了讓光良唱出最道地的廣東歌曲，還找了一位專門教歌手唱粵語歌曲的老師來幫光良矯正發音。光良說：「廣東話講話跟唱歌的感覺不太一樣，唱歌只要一點點轉音方式不同，就會讓歌詞裡的意思變掉，或是變成不好的意思。」因此，光良錄音時所用的歌詞，上頭滿滿畫記號的都是光良親手筆記要注意的發音。這樣的小地方，不難看出光良對於工作的細節是多麼地重視了！

唱粵語 讓光良好緊張
光良從小在怡保老家與父母家人說廣東話，這一次是出道以來第一次獨唱廣東歌曲。光良坦言心情非常地緊張，也很有壓力。光良的爸媽也很興奮的說：很想聽聽MICHAEL第一次錄的廣東歌，我們一定聽的懂的！
為了融入香港歌迷的聽覺，光良這次選的這兩首廣東歌是由黎明親自挑選的，再讓香港的製作團隊幫光良操刀編曲設計MV的劇情，而光良也飛到香港錄音拍攝MV；至於之後會不會有機會聽見光良的粵語創作，光良則笑說要大家期待。

這店小二這首歌曲將會在六月時，在香港發行數位單曲，而光良則會向公司爭取馬來西亞也發行這兩首新歌，讓大家驗收自己首次錄廣東歌的成果！

馬來西亞的經紀公司28Stage也證實在8月初會為光良推出在馬的首張數碼音樂專輯，專輯中將收錄光良這次首唱的兩首粵語歌曲和MV，更特別贈送之前在大陸獲得數碼下載破4百萬通好成績的「右手邊」和阿穆隆合唱的「美好時光」兩首歌曲。更大的驚喜是配合首張數碼音樂專輯的推出，28Stage也積極在安排光良於8月中囘馬展開唯一一場大型的簽唱會，為大家正式推介此新媒體地誕生。
